Hall Hire Features

The 1st East Roseville Scout Hall ("Kalloona") is available for hire by community users. 

"Kalloona" is accessed via the private road marked Rusty's Way located opposite "The Kingsway" on Ormonde Road Roseville Chase, and is located in bushland below Roseville Golf Course (see map page).  It is well away from neighbours and access is restricted making it the perfect venue for children's birthday parties, laser tag, back-up wet weather venue, large family gatherings or your regular community group events. 

When hiring "Kalloona" you will get access to:

  • A large wooden floor space with a raised stage and performance lighting

  • A large kitchen with easy access to the hall space

  • The fridge and stove/oven in the kitchen

  • Toilet and shower facilities

  • Camp fire area (supply your own wood)

  • Seating for 100 people in theatre style on plastic chairs

  • 10 large wooden trestle tables

  • A car park for approximately 15 cars (7 paved, 8 on grass subject to weather). 7 paved spaces only currently available.

  • Outdoor camping space for 25 people (reduces car parking capacity to 8 spaces)

The hall hire rates are:

  • $100 per hour

  • Day rate negotiable

  • Hall hire fees must be paid in full at the time of booking confirmation

  • Fully refundable deposit ($195) to be paid by payment link before getting the key.

The Hall is NOT available for birthday parties of people between the ages of 15-30.  

If you are interested in hiring "Kalloona" please first check the availability of the hall on the bookings page. You will be required to agree to the conditions of Hall Hire.

A condition of hall hire is that you must sweep the hall, leave the kitchen and toilets clean, pack away any tables and chairs you use and take away all your own garbage as there is no garbage collection service.  This ensures that Cub, Scout and Venturer meetings can be run the following week with minimal disruption. For night hall hire, we ask that you respect our neighbours and comply with Council noise regulations Sunday-Thursday (cease by 10PM), Friday-Saturday (cease by Midnight).

"Kalloona" is available at a discounted rate for regular hire by community groups and exercise or dance classes.  Please contact us if you would like to contact someone about the availability. 

The hire of 1st East Roseville Scout Hall is through volunteer parents of the Scout Group as a means of raising additional funds to help resource the activities of the Group, so please be patient if you do not get an immediate response to your enquiry, and be understanding if we are not able to accommodate all your wishes.
