1st East Rosville Cubs and Scouts will be attending Macquarie Center Ice Rink this Sunday the 22nd of February.

The public skating session begins at 2:30pm, however we want to be in line to go and and sort skate hire by 2:00pm. Macquarie Center can be an absolute pain to park and get around at - I would recommend aiming to arrive at the center by 1:30pm to give you plenty of time to get to the rink.

Attendees should wear comfortable clothes. We recommend leggings, tracksuit pants or jeans - if the participant hasn't ice skated much they are likely to spend a fair bit sitting or kneeling on the ice.

Temperature in the rink will be lower than outside, so they will most likely want a jumper or hoodie - at least while they are warming up. Socks are a must! No uniform is required.

The session runs for 2 hours from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, however new skaters are unlikely to spend two hours on the ice - you may want to stay nearby if you are doing dropoff and pickup - or check in partway through to see how your child is doing.

This is a combined event, so leaders from both the Cubs and Scouts groups will be attending.

If you want to organise car pooling, there are Whats App chats for both Cubs and Scout parents - the less people who have to drive to Macquarie Center on a Sunday the better!

We are waiting for confirmation on price from the rink - we think it is going to be around $20 per head, and will be looking for everyone to bring cash to make life easiest for the leaders.

Siblings are welcome to come along for this event and participate for the reduced group price - however if they are not enrolled in Cubs or Scouts you will need to stay to supervise them.
